This Green has set a mobile studio through which we go to secondary schools and scout talents in music and poetry. Use it to attract learners to learn about Climate Change and Environmental Management while promoting gender responsiveness in a way improving quality and accessibility of education.
The project also seeks to record songs and poems from learners in there local setting by taking the studio to their schools. The massages varies from Gender Equality, Climate Action, Mental and Sexual Health, Women and Youth empowerment. Upon finishing completion of the project the songs and poems will be compiled under one album which will be launched as one way of beneficiary engagement and awareness campaign.
The poems will also be collected and compiled into a book which will be later published.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES
- Reduce school drop out by making learning more interesting with the introduction of music and poetry
- Increase academic performance of the members of green sound clubs in the focus secondary and primary school
- Promoting artistic skill in learners and giving them platform to show case their talents
- Improve creative writing skill in learners and connect the to professional writers
- Address critical issues to education and climate change action for instance mental and sexual health
